The South Carolina State Museum is the capitol city’s premier events venue, boasting over 200,000 square feet of exhibition and rental space. It is a unique venue in which to host an event, with the charm of a Historic Landmark mill building and the fun modern feel of the planetarium and state-of-the art meeting rooms. We are seeking a Special Events Operations Coordinator who is responsible for the planning, organizing, and Public Safety Officer - Temporary - $13 an Hour
The Public Safety Officer is required to protect the property of the State Museum and the rights of individuals against loss or injury due to disorderly acts, accidents, fires or other hazards. In this position the incumbent will:
• Monitor cameras to detect safety hazards, and unusual activity, report specific problems to designated responsible party.
