About Us

Mission:
PTSD Veterans Village is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established to provide housing resources,
temporary shelter, education, computer training, and transportation for our Sisters-In-Arms who served
our Nation with Dignity, Honor, and Respect.

Vision:
To acquire, build, and develop a 68-acre ranch in Bishopville, South Carolina, to provide Energy-
Efficient Affordable Housing for Unsheltered and Unhoused Women Veterans and their children under the age of 18. "Women Veterans are considered the Silent Homeless."

History:
PTSD Veterans Village was founded in 2022 by Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) Veteran
(Afghanistan) Laurie Ann Strange, with a heart to assist fellow Women Veterans who drive this
organization's initiatives as executive team members and volunteers who lead by example to become
our Sisters Keeper. The organizational mottos are: "We Leave No Woman Veteran Behind" and “We
Are Our Sister's Keeper!”
