Job Fair: South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole & Pardon Services

The State of South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole & Pardon Services is sponsoring its 2nd Annual Job Fair on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.  This event will be held at the Centura College, located at 7500 Two Notch Road.
 
The Columbia Reentry Center is designed to increase the likelihood that offenders will better meet their financial obligations, community responsibilities and become more likely to successfully complete community supervision.  The Reentry Center’s vision is to reduce the “revolving door” of persons on probation and parole going back to prison because of a lack of education, social services and employment opportunities in their respective community.  By identifying the needs of participants we supervise, we can then take greater strides in offering more specialized services such as employment.
 
We are asking for your support as a vendor by your willingness to provide second chance employment opportunities. Your vendorship will also entitle you to an exhibit space at our job fair, electrical outlet, wireless internet service and refreshments. All vendors or company representatives are asked to arrive at least thirty-minutes prior to the event start time.  There are no fees or cost associated with your participation and no contractual agreement presented for signature.  It is our hope that participants will be given an opportunity for gainful employment with your organization and participate fully in your hiring process.
