DESCRIPTION:Fort Jackson's Commanding General\, Major General John P. "Pete" Johnson\, cordially invites you to observe the Army's newest Soldiers as they negotiate the Night Infiltration Course on January 16th.\n\n\nThe Night Infiltration Course (NIC) is one of the most memorable training events experienced by Soldiers in Basic Combat Training. Soldiers charge out of a trench and advance towards an objective\, experiencing live machine gun fire over their heads\, while explosions and aerial flares enhance the training experience. \n\n \n\nVisitors will have the opportunity to watch Soldiers in action through night vision goggles.\n\n\n\nThe current timeline is provided below\, but we would ask you to arrive promptly at 6:00 PM so that the Commanding General's inbrief can begin on time.\n\n\n\nSchedule of events:\n\n\n\n5:30 - 6:00 PM: Guests arrive at the Joe E. Mann ballroom. (3392 Magruder Ave.\, Fort Jackson\, SC 29207) Magruder Avenue is the first street on the right as you enter post - access instructions provided below)\n\n\n\n6:00 PM: Command briefing by the Commanding General or Deputy Commander\n\n\n\n6:45 PM: Night Infiltration Course training brief by the training unit Battalion Commander\n\n\n\n7:15 PM: Load buses and depart for the Night Infiltration Course.\n\n\n\n7:40 PM: Arrival at Night Infiltration Course to observe training\n\n\n\n9:30 PM: Return to the Joe E. Mann ballroom\n\n\n\n\n\nYour "by-name" RSVP is your key to entry. Please RSVP (below) NLT noon on January 15th with your name and the names of all your guests. We will use this consolidated "RSVP" roster at the gate to provide access for you to the Fort.\n\n\n\nPlease bring a copy of this official invitation and a state issued photo ID for each guest 16 and older\, which will be compared to the access roster at the Forrest Drive Gate (Exit 12 on I-77).\n\n\n\nHearing Protection will be provided.\n\n\n\nWe look forward to seeing you on the tour!
