DESCRIPTION:The LCAA Leadership Luncheon Series\, presented by Schmoyer and Company\, LLC\, hosts a variety of community leaders throughout the year. This luncheon is an opportunity for graduates of the Leadership Columbia program\, and guests\, to network as well as hear from influential leaders on the local\, state and national stages. \n\n\n\nLCAA is pleased to have have Jason Freier as this month's Keynote Speaker. \n\n\n\nJason Freier is the chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hardball Capital\, a company whose core business is the operation of affiliated minor league baseball teams. An attorney by training\, prior to founding Hardball he specialized in complex business matters and sports law representing owners and potential owners of the MLB\, NFL\, NBA and NHL.\n\n\n\nHe has appeared in courts of all levels and has worked with former US Solicitor General\, Harvard Law Professor Charles Fried and has practiced with Williams and Connolly in Washington D.C. he is the subject of multiple articles in national publications and has been quoted in legislation before the US Senate and the House of Representatives.\n\n\n\nOutside of his role as chairman and CEO of Hardball Capital\, Freier is a member of Young Presidents Organization and a graduate of the 2007 class of Leadership Atlanta. He is also a council member for the Gerson Lehrman Group where he advises leading hedge funds\, financial service firms\, consultancies and corporations.\n\n\n\n Freier also serves on the Board of Directors of the South Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and Midwest League of Professional Baseball\; on the advisory boards of Thuzio\, Multiply Live and Palmer and Cay\; and on the Board of Directors of the Carolina League of Professional Baseball. He is an appointed member of the Stadium advisory Board of the Fort Wayne Redevelopment Commission and an officer of the Harvard Club of Georgia.
