DESCRIPTION:This month\, Rick Reames III\, Director of the South Carolina Department of Revenue will discuss the state of the economy as evidenced by state tax collections. He will share Columbia-specific numbers and outline various Department efficiency projects impacting local business as well as enhanced efforts to combat the growing national epidemic of tax return fraud. Reames will provide an update on the rollout of the Department's new integrated tax processing system and taxpayer portal\, MyDORWAY. He will also be happy to answer any questions at the conclusion of his remarks. \n\n\n\nAt this monthly forum\, Columbia Chamber partners gather to discuss and address local\, regional and federal issues facing the business community. The group meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 8 a.m. in the Palmetto Room of the Columbia Chamber. Meetings are open to all partners who wish to attend.
