DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, May 12\, the Leadership Columbia Alumni Association (LCAA) will host its 19th Annual Leadership Summit featuring keynote speaker Molly Spearman\, South Carolina's Superintendent of Education.\n\n \n\nRather than a panel discussion in the morning session\, the LCAA Advisory Board has created "Leadership My Way\, Leadership Everyday\," a set of quick-fire presentations designed to provide diverse\, concise and engaging content. Topics include music\, events\, art\, technology\, community involvement\, local government\, politics\, finance and many more.\n\n\n\nSouth Carolina's Superintendent of Education\, Molly Spearman\, was an educator in our school system for 18 years before she was elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives. During that time she was designated as Legislator of the Year\, fighting inefficiency and red tape in government programs. Molly Spearman was later appointed the Deputy Superintendent of Education for Governmental Relations and worked to improve education in South Carolina alongside legislators\, educators\, and business leaders. In addition to her success\, Spearman went on to lead the South Carolina Association of School Administrators before being elected as the 18th South Carolina State Superintendent of Education in 2015.
